Aloha everyone! My name is Estefany Mae S. Bayudan. I was born in the Philippines but was raised on the island of Oʻahu and grew up in the city of Waipahu just before I turned 2 years old. I am a junior at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. Driven by a deep interest in surgical care, I plan to build a career in medicine as a future general surgeon. I’ve been a member of PPMAH for 2 years and although this is my very first time holding an officer position for PPMAH, I’ve held officer positions in other student organizations in the past!

PPMAH has been a cornerstone of my growth—both personally and professionally. It’s given me invaluable opportunities to learn, connect, and find a sense of purpose on my path toward medicine. I’m truly grateful for the impact it’s had on my journey so far. Thus, as your current Vice President, one of my top priorities would be to strengthen the support system within our Pre-Med community alongside the rest of the officers. The path to medicine is demanding, and it’s common to face moments of burnout or self-doubt. Hence, I’m committed to fostering a space where we uplift one another, share our experiences openly, stay motivated as a team, and be a source of honest support and guidance. By building a strong, connected community, we can ensure that no one has to navigate this journey alone. I am honored to work alongside all of you as we grow and succeed together!
