Welcome to the Philippine Pre-Medical Association of Hawaiʻi (PPMAH) website. We are a group of Filipino premedical students who share the common goal of one day becoming future physicians that will care for our communities.

“The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) utilizes innovative learning methods including standardized patients, "manikin" simulations, and a tutorial-based, student-centered system called Problem-Based Learning (PBL). An orientation to the JABSOM curriculum will be held which includes an explanation of PBL and the opportunity to take part in a PBL exercise.”

“Launching in Fall 2026, the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Premedical Sciences is an 18-credit program coordinated by the John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) in collaboration with schools, colleges, and departments across the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The program is designed to help students strengthen their academic preparation and take the next step toward medical, dental, physician assistant, or biomedical graduate training.”
